STATEMENT BY KARL WALTERBACH FROM 1982
After posting an old interview on this blog before, I today pulled out the "Underground Hits I" compilation and scanned a part of the label bosses' statement for you. So here is more wisdom (you could also say history lesson) by Karl Walterbach, the man behind AGR (Aggressive Rockproduktionen Label). As he did many times he is complaining about hardcore punk being underrated and he is also slagging the arty German bands. Recently I am surprised that there is interest again in arty German wave bands like the ones on the ZICKZACK label. That stuff Walterbach loved to slag the most. Again it is in German and besides working knowledge of the German language you will need Adobe Reader to see it -- enjoy!
